Tip - Extreme is a travel agency that specializes in organizing, managing and selling hiking tours in nature with a focus on the nearby National Park Biokovo. We have long term experience in local tour guides rooted in outdoor activities and tours all across the Splitsko-Dalmatinske region. All tour guides are carefully organized and focused on three key elements: fun, sightseeing and experience. Nature is the protagonist in every one of our tours assisting her in action are our excited guides and interesting tales and taste. The agency owns its own carpool with a team of local drivers and guides, that in whole make one harmonious experience with a dignified transfer of knowledge and skill to the visitor. 

Mission Our goal in each of our tours is to give the visitor a unique contact with nature and terrain while carefully treating nature and choosing the hiking paths with minimal impact on the surrounding environment. While working on local attractions we keep focus on sustainable tourism by using means of transportation with a minimal ecological and carbon impact. Tip extreme conducts business in the utmost standard of sustainability scope of activities in tourism and transportation. 

Our sustainability philosophy is separated in three elements: Sustainability management and alignment with (Local /EU) laws. Internal management: social politics, human rights, environment and community relations. Management of supply chains: destination, communication and protection of consumer rights. Each of the elements consists of a string of principals and practical actions in accordance with sustainability philosophy. 

1. Sustainability management and alignment with state and EU laws Tip-extreme obliges to sustainable management in accordance to the following principles: • Conducting business in accordance of law • Our mission statement is published on our website and is accessible to our partners, clients and general public; • We have a designetated sustainability coordinator with defined role with utmost highest level of company standards; • Our sustainability mission has a goal of minimizing the negative impact of social, cultural, economic and ecological of the company’s operations, including the health and safety of our employees, which is published on our company website. • Our sustainability mission statement has clear goals, responsibilities and time table • Our sustainability mission goals are clearly and consistently documented, as well as published for internal and external viewing • We encourage increased awareness of environmental sustainability through our employees, contractors and clients by informing and including them in our sustainability mission • We are obliged to follow all national park laws, regulations and codes. • We have zero tolerance toward bribery, corruption, discrimination, violations of human rights, including forced labor, human trade and violation of any children rights. 

2. Internal management: social politics, human rights, environment and community relations. The company internally obliges to sustainable management through clear written and verbal communication, this includes social justice principles and practice. 

Employees: • We ensure equal employee rights, conditions and opportunities to all employees no matter their gender, age, space religion or sexual orientation. • We guarantee all employees freedom of employment and cancelation of contract with proper notice and without penalty in accordance with contract • We guarantee a salary higher than the minimum salary written by law and all year employment. • We offer (guarantee) health care to all employees, paid vacation, sick leave and unpaid vacation time, maternity leave according to the state law and when applicable collective contract by travel agencies. • Job description and conditions are included in employee contracts in accordance with the state employment laws and when applicable collective contract of travel agencies. • We encourage health and safety protocols to all employees in accordance with state laws, as well as optional health and safety education and information • We don’t discourage union organization or collective employment negotiation and representation • We strictly forbid employment of underage children children and strictly follow the state rule of law and oppose illegal employment of children • We offer professional internships to all high schoolers • We encourage and finance professional training for all employees, as well as health and safety check ups • We regularly communicate with employees and provide a safe and healthy work environment 

Administration: - We are actively lowering our use of single use materials and products - We give way to purchase of sustainable goods, products and services - We purchase whole sale as much as possible to lower our use of packaging - We maximize are use of digital media and are continuously lowering our use printed brochures while using recyclable paper as much as possible • Purchase of office materials is done through local means • We regularly update our email list and remove users that no longer seek our service • We constantly monitor our use of water and electricity • We are cautious and mindful in our use of electricity and office equipment, as well discourage placement of equipment in standby mode • We don’t use one time use of plastic, plastic bags and bottles • We only use glass, ceramic and metal containers • We only use environmentally friendly cleaning materials that have eco-sign, printed on the product and when available • We reduce the amount of wasteful materials, as well as sort and recycle our waste in accordance to state and local laws • We developed a recycling and disposal system by type, and all bio waste is composed by use of California earthworms and is reused as manure in repotting • Waste that is not disposable in regular system (batteries, toners and electronics) are separated and disposed of in designated landfills • We encourage car pulling and use of sustainable transport, as well as tele/video call work from home and other means when possible and appropriate • Employees regularly receive education and information in their field concerning the environment and sustainability 

Community: - We contribute in protection and preservation of local historical, archeological, cultural and spiritual sights at the same time not disrupting access to local residents • We are active members of association for sustainable development of Osejava • We finance local humanitarian, social and ecological associations • We participate in community cleaning of polluted areas, as well as plantation of trees • During our tours we collect waste and encourage our visitors to do the same • We take care of protected plants in accordance to IUCN’s Red list of endangered species • We encourage our clients to purchase local products (souvenirs) 

3. Management of supply chains: Tip-Extreme is specialized in producing local field trips, therefore management of supply chains is directed to supplier and partner agencies while using adequate types of transportation for each individual field trip, as well as employment of field guides and drivers. We are aware and understand the importance of implementation of sustainable practice in the entire supply chain. Keeping that in mind Tip-Extreme obliges to the following: 

Suppliers and partners: - We encourage awareness of sustainability with our suppliers and partners - We insure that our partners follow the same relevant laws that protect rights of employees • We maintain a list of sustainable suppliers and give way to suppliers with certificate of sustainability • We inform our main suppliers of our sustainable policies and that they are expected to follow and inform the end user when relative • Including clauses of sustainability on contracts/annexes of contracts of suppliers/partners that concern human rights, child labor, sexual exploitation of children, fight against corruption and bribery, as well as waste management and protection of biological diversity that gives rights to partners of cancelation of contract in case of unlawful provisions; regular rating of sustainable practices of our key partners 

Transportation: - We choose the utmost sustainable type of transportation for each destination, while keeping in mind the the price and comfort • All vehicles in company car pool are used carefully and are regularly serviced, while following the existing national hygiene codes • We produce the minimal ecological impact per person by using buse transfers on our group trips • All vehicles are in the company ownership and purchased with the highest ecological standards available and come with air conditioning • Our tours start in a nearby location to minimize the transportation, ecological impact and CO2 emissions 

Accommodation: • We give way to locally owned and operated accommodations with best sustainable practices and preferably with sustainability certificates like Travelife • We also give way to accommodations that employ local workforce • We encourage all of our accommodation partners to practice sustainable tourism • We clearly communicate our sustainability goals to our accommodation partners in our contract including clauses of sustainability, child labor, corruption, bribery, waste management and biological diversity, therefore leave zero room for violation of any one of the clauses and immediately terminate our partnership on the case of violation • When possible we work with accommodations and restaurants that promote local art, architecture, culture, tradition while respecting the rights of local communities intellectual ownership • We reserve the rights to cancel contracts in cases of clear evidence of violation or harm to neighboring companies or basic necessities such as food, water, energy, healthcare or soil 

Tourist guide and drivers: • All of our guides, representatives and drivers are certified professionals that regularly receive additional training to keep up with sustainability progress and trends • All employees have a written contract that included details on working conditions and job descriptions as well as fully understand the contract provisions • All salaries are very competitive and/or higher from the state minimum reflecting employees positions • We ensure that our local partner follow international, state and local laws, as well as minimal industry standards and all other relative laws no matter which law is more demanding • We insure that our guides and local reps explain to our clients basics of sustainability on location (protection of flora, fauna, cultural history and use of natural resources) social norms and values (tips, dress code and photography) as well as human rights (inappropriate conduct) • We insure that local employees are informed about our sustainability policies and specialty guidelines (via meetings, email and training) as well as that they abide by them Trips and activities: • We keep a written log of every ecological and culturally sensitive filled trip that is offered in our destination • We advise our partners and visitors on how to behave during our field trip and activities with an accent on respecting local culture, nature and surroundings • We promote field trips and activities that support local communities (via purchasing services or goods), traditional businesses and local production (food) or visiting social projects, as well as advising visitors of above mentioned practices • We promote and advise our guests on field trip activities and support local environment and biological diversity, like visiting environmentally protected areas • We communicate our sustainability goals via written codes distributed by guide, rep, social media, email or meetings so we can lower the negative impact of our visitors • We don’t offer any type of field trip that damage the social and cultural aspect of human, animal, plans and natural resources such as water and energy • We don’t offer field trips that keep wildlife in captivity, except if they are keeping in protected areas in accordance of local and international law • We qualify and certify our guides for guiding our visitor is culturally and ecologically sensitive areas • We don’t work with companies that collect, consume, display, sale or trade different types of wild animals, unless they are regulated and their use is sustainable with local and international laws 

4. Destination Our goal is to strengthen the positive and lower the negative effects on the destination so we can ensure sustainable development on the location we conduct business. Keeping in mind we oblige the following: • We consider the aspect of sustainability in process of choosing new destinations and possible offer of alternatives • Support preservation of biological diversity, including protected areas and areas of high biodiversity • We avoid destinations with unacceptable sustainability practices and policies • We advise our visitors on how to behave during our field trip and activities with an accent on respecting local culture, nature and surroundings, as well as promoting activities and consulting on activities on location that support local environment and biological diversification like visiting protected areas • We support local self governed offices (when possible with other tourist companies) on maintaining, planning and managing the destinations using natural resources and social cultural questions • We don’t support souvenirs that have endangered flora and fauna, like it states in the international convention of endangered wild animal, plants and spices listed in the “Red List” IUCN-a or contain historical and archeological artifacts (unless allowed by law) 

5. Communication and consumer protection: Tourist agency Tip-Extreme is available to our clients before, during and after their visit while following principles: • Providing information of destination, price list, product price list that are balanced and complete • We provide marketing material that offer clients clear and fully accurate information including facts about sustainability with clear information about the state rules and laws that follow major industry standards • We provide clients information about natural surroundings, local culture and cultural inharance of the destination • We inform our clients of sustainable alternative in sense of accommodations, trips, deal arrangements and options of transportation, if available • We inform clients of key aspects and problems concerning sustainability of individual location and give recommendation about how they can contribute in positive way • We inform clients about risks and caution measures concerning health and safety of the destination • We insure that the client’s privacy is protected in accordance to GDPR and law of protection of personal data • inform clients in the event of sexual abuse or any other kind of abuse, exploitation or harassment of children and adolescents • We inform clients of applicable legislation in connection of purchase, sale, import and export of religious artifacts and products that may contain materials made of endangered flora or fauna • We motivate clients to visit local restaurants and shops • We inform clients of sustainable transport options if it is doable • Provide clients information about sensitive tours and activities in form of documentary or codex to lower their potential negative impact on the location • Train and direct employees on what actions to take in a case of an emergency • Provide clients with contact information (person and phone number) in case of an emergency (24h customer support) • Survey clients on quality including sustainability and apply the changes in terms of improving the service and products • We have clear procedure on filing complaints that in accordance to state laws and rules
